British Gas Business customers set for six weeks of half-price electricity this Spring

British Gas Business customers will be able to benefit from half‑price electricity for six weeks this spring, as the energy supplier releases another event as part of its PeakSave for Business scheme. Since its introduction in 2024, the initiative has helped participating businesses collectively save more than £640,000.

Beginning on Wednesday 4th March and running until 8th April, eligible businesses across the UK will receive half-price electricity every Wednesday from 10am to 3pm. The trial is designed to help eligible businesses – from independent retailers to hospitality venues – reduce their energy costs whilst supporting a more sustainable energy system.

PeakSave rewards customers for using electricity during periods of lower demand or when more renewable energy is available on the grid. By shifting consumption to off-peak times, participating businesses can make immediate savings whilst helping to balance the UK's energy supply and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

PeakSave for Business gives our customers a straightforward way to reduce their bills and support cleaner energy at the same time. The response from businesses has been overwhelmingly positive, and we're pleased to bring the scheme back this spring."

The PeakSave for Business scheme has received positive feedback from participating businesses. One British Gas Business customer, a construction company based in Oxfordshire, said:

“Enrolling in PeakSave was ridiculously easy and seemed like an offer that was too good to be true. However, we have now saved £248.29 over 2 months with PeakSave. With costs continually increasing for businesses, thank you British Gas for giving back with no strings.”

To take part, businesses must have their electricity supplied by British Gas and have a smart meter that submits half-hourly readings. Over 65,000 eligible businesses have been invited to join the offer, with registration opening ahead of the 4th March start date.
